Vos hot spots favoris?

Mon album, « I Like This Beat », sortira l’année prochaine.

What path do you follow?
I follow my own path, it's the road less travelled for sure. Before me there was nobody in my family that worked in the entertainment/music industry, so I have always followed my heart and intuition and it has led me to this place.  I believe in being positive and seeing beyond the present to focus good energy to help achieve my personal goals.

What keeps you grounded?
My family, I'm really close to my them and I'm really lucky that we all get on so well, they are my support system and they are always real and honest with me, even if I don't want to hear it! Also my little dog Annie keeps me feeling very normal, there's nothing more grounding than going round the garden picking up dog poo! 🙂

What would be your Achille's heel?
Insecurity, I can be my own worst enemy at times and I'm really hard on myself especially when I get very tired, but I'm getting to know my weaknesses and how to manage them better now.  I used to have really bad panic attacks which was a result of exhaustion but thankfully I now know how to deal with them now.

What would you run for?
Love, happiness, my family.  At the moment my focus is to keep climbing this mountain of challenges that I have set myself, taking new opportunities, surprising myself and to keep growing, learning and to not take life too seriously.

What is your relationship with shoes?
I'm a fashion collector/hoarder!  I have a huge loft at my house where I store my clothes, I have a lot of vintage couture pieces and have lots of shelves of shoes and boots. I cannot tell you exactly how many I have but I think its probably more than Imelda Marcos!  I hate to throw things away as fashion moves around in circles. At the moment I'm wearing lots of Walter Steiger (I'm a massive fan of the crazy curved heel he designed), Michael Korrs, Chanel classic ballet flats, Jeremy Scott for Adidas and Louboutin's for a nice evening out. When I'm onstage you'll either see me in some thigh high boots or 90's buffalo tower platforms as they are so easy to run around in.

Your dream shoe?
My shoe fantasy is a pair of really high 90's platforms by Vivienne Westwood, like the ones that Naomi Campbell wore when she famously fell over on the catwalk, I'm always searching for these in vintage stores and on eBay, if you find some in a size 5/38 please call me 😀

Where do you feel at home?
I am so used to living out of a suitcase now that I have certain tricks to make me feel at home even when I'm far away.  I love bringing my favourite Fig scented Diptyque candle with me, so everywhere has the same comforting smell and I often feel cold so I always bring my onsie with me so I'm really cosy.  In Paris I either stay at the Cube Hotel or Jardin de Neuilly (in Neuilly sur Seine) as I know everyone the works at the hotel and they are all lovely! My other favourite home from home is the Gstaad Palace in Switzerland, this is one of the best places I have found to relax.  It's in the mountains and it was the favourite hotel of Elizabeth

How do you release the pressure?
I love running and dancing this helps to get a lot of tension out of my body. I also find shopping on eBay quite therapeutic, I like the hunt for a great bargain and the thrill of winning something. But for me nothing beats being on stage as it is the best stress reliever ever!  It's a great way to run around and be surrounded by love and positive energy, it's such a unique experience and I'm so grateful to be able to do this night after night. It’s what I live for!

Your next steps?
My main focus at the moment is my solo project (after featuring on so many tracks in the past with David Guetta, Axwell etc). I started to feel like I was always the bridesmaid and never the bride! Now I have a new single "Shooting Star" featuring Zaho and my album "I Like This Beat" which will be out next year. This has been such a big part of my life and I have learnt so much through making my first album and now I can't wait to release it! The album is a sexy mix of dance / electro / pop and what may surprise people is some urban touches. I also have my own weekly dance music radio show also called "I Like This Beat" which is now in 52 countries, Emirates airlines and also available as a free podcast worldwide through iTunes.  In my spare time I am writing for other artists as well that are also signed to Universal which is great as I get to explore more musical universes and writing for other people is something that I really enjoy too.

Your last aesthetic shock?
I was taken to Crazy Horse in Paris as a surprise for my birthday. It was incredible, I had seen the show in London before and also have the Dita Von Tease performance on DVD but being in Paris and watching the full show was just awe inspiring!  I was so happy that I cried as I have been such a fan of the show for such a long time. My favourite routine was a bondage themed dance with just one girl tied up in a rope. She was sexy, refined and an incredible dancer. My secret wish is I would love to do a special show there someday.
