C’est l’événement culturel de l’hiver. Avec plus de 210 œuvres issues de collections publiques et privées, nationales et internationales, l’exposition du Grand Palais, réalisée grâce au soutien de LVMH, est plus qu’un état des lieux, c’est une véritable relecture de l’histoire de l’art, dont le travail de Picasso serait le seul guide, du Greco à Velasquez, de Poussain à Ingres, de Courbet à Van Gogh. L’œuvre de chaque artiste devenant alors l’inspiration d’un autre, la peinture apprenant de la peinture, dans un voyage exceptionnel et passionnant entre passé et présent.
